Individual Therapy for Women’s Issues

Individual therapy for women is a personalized form of counseling aimed at addressing the unique emotional, psychological, and relational challenges that women may face. This therapy provides a safe and supportive space for women to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and to work through issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship struggles, trauma, career stress, or life transitions. Tailored to meet each woman’s specific needs, the therapy process encourages self-discovery, personal growth, and empowerment. With the guidance of a trained therapist, women can develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen their emotional resilience, and achieve a deeper understanding of themselves. Whether it's overcoming past trauma or navigating current challenges, individual therapy for women fosters healing, self-acceptance, and lasting change.

FAQs

What is the Purpose of Individual Therapy and How Long Do Clients Typically Remain in Therapy?

Individual therapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences with a licensed professional. The goal is to help you gain insight, develop healthy coping skills, and work through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions. The length of therapy varies based on individual needs, but on average, clients attend weekly sessions for about 3 to 6 months. Some may achieve their goals sooner, while others choose to continue longer-term for ongoing support and personal growth.

Where Are Therapy or Clinical Services Provided?

All therapy and clinical services are provided through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Services are provided to individuals who live in the state of Georgia ONLY. Individuals who are receiving services must be physically in the state of Georgia while services are being provided. I am not able to provide therapy or other clinical services to individuals who do not live in the state of Georgia at this time.

How Much Do Your Services Cost?

Fees vary depending on the services provided. The Self-Pay rate for a 60-minute Individual Therapy session is $125 per session. Individuals utilizing in-network insurance plans fees vary based on the contracted insurance plan rates, insurance deductibles, and co-payment/co-insurance fees.

Do You Accept Insurance?

I am currently an In-Network provider with Aetna, Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and United Healthcare/UMR/Optum. In-Network insurance plans can be used for Individual Therapy sessions. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to determine your co-payment and/or co-insurance fees and your yearly deductible prior to starting services.

What is Your No-Show or Late Cancellation Policy?

I understand that life happens and unexpected changes may come up. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please try to notify me at least 24 hours in advance. While occasional late cancellations are understandable, a $40 no-show fee will be charged to the card on file if there is no communication before the scheduled session time. Consistent communication helps us maintain a respectful and supportive therapeutic relationship.

Is There a Fee For Completing Forms or Paperwork (e.g. Disability, FMLA, etc.)?

Yes, there is a $40 administrative fee for the completion of any paperwork related to disability claims, FMLA requests, or other documentation. This fee must be paid in full before the completed paperwork is released to you or sent to the appropriate party. Please allow adequate time for completion and let me know in advance if you need support with time-sensitive forms.

Do You Work With Children or Adolescents?

No, I exclusively provide therapy services to adults ages 18 to 65. I do not work with children or adolescents under any circumstances. My practice is focused on addressing the unique needs and life experiences of adults, and I am committed to offering age-appropriate care within that scope.

Do You Offer Couples or Family Therapy?

At this time, I do not provide ongoing couples or family therapy. My practice is focused on individual therapy for adults. However, clients who are actively engaged in individual therapy may have the option to include a family session occasionally, depending on their therapeutic needs. These sessions are considered on a case-by-case basis and must be clinically appropriate.
